Walk: Snap Tins and Sunshine - Walk the Miners Way, meet Elvington Community Centre, St John's Road, Elvington CT15 4DZ for a Full English breakfast at 9.30am, followed by a 2.5-mile illustrated stroll at 11am through the area's industrial past. Follow the route the miners took to Tilmanstone Colliery - including the former pit yard, remains of the East Kent Light Railway and abandoned Elvington Halt platform. Ends at the Community Centre for a cup of tea and free entry to Elvington and Eythorne Heritage Centre, with its large collection and display of local mining memorabilia.
