13th Annual Crocus Walk, check in at the large gravel seafront car park, Kingsdown Road, Walmer at 10am. The route for this charity walk is from the nearby "Julie's Bench" into Kingsdown, and along the White Cliffs to St Margarets Bay and The White Cliffs Hotel. Following nibbles, a short talk about the Breastcancer Now charity and a raffle, walkers return to the start point where they will receive a certificate and medal. The walk is not a race and is open to all ages; dogs are very welcome. Participation fee is £7.92 (includes nibbles at halfway point, booking fee and medal at finish). To register for the walk, go to online booking.

Raising funds for five-year-old Deal youngster, Ellice, who has Diplegic Cerebral Palsy - a condition that means she is unable to walk without assistance. Ellice’s "Wish to Walk" campaign, hosted on the Just4Children charity's website, wants to raise £65,000 for Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) surgery to help make Ellice's Wish to Walk come true.

Launch of the Royal Marines Heritage Trail for Deal and Walmer, from 3pm. The events include:
The Collingwood Band of The Royal Marines, accompanied by a Troop of Royal Marine Commandos, march from the Jubilee Gate of the former South Barracks, along The Strand to Deal Castle.
Formal launch of the new Heritage Trail.
The Corps of HM Royal Marines will then exercise their "right to march through the town with fixed bayonets, drums beating and colours flying" (due to their being granted the Freedom of Deal on February 14, 1945). Their route is along the seafront, past Deal Pier, King Street and the High Street to Deal Town Hall.
